The 22-year event is celebrated among one of UT Arlington’s favorite traditions. The Maverick-style mud volleyball tournament is one of several events that Maverick Marauders host that raise money toward student scholarships.
Alumni Relations: Maverick Marauder members act as the students' voice for representation in the Alumni Association. Members are invited to join an alumni network that few students get to experience until after graduation. Maverick Marauders are volunteer hosts at the Distinguished Alumni Gala, Student Leader Alumni Reception and Alumni Picnic. Alumni open their homes for members each spring by hosting a progressive dinner.
Traditions and University Service: Maverick Marauder members are encouraged to foster a spirit of pride and tradition for our university among the student body. This is done not only by reinforcing current traditions but by starting our own such as T-shirt days and participation in campus events such as Homecoming and the Official Maverick Ring Ceremony. Maverick Marauders team up with Athletics and Student Affairs annually to host Blue/White/Orange outs. Founders Day is held in October to commemorate the university's founding. Members raise money for scholarships by selling roses at graduation and MAVPACK finals study kits.
