About us

The African-American Alumni Chapter of The University of Texas at Arlington is comprised of a wide range of professionals who have completed either their undergraduate or graduate degree at The University of Texas at Arlington. 


Purpose

The purpose and development of the UT Arlington African-American Alumni Chapter is to strengthen the relationships, communication and community support among all African-American alumni within the University community. 


Mission

Our mission is twofold: First, to provide networking and mentoring services to anyone with African decent within the University community (undergraduates, graduates, alumni, employees). Secondly, to establish collaborative relationships with African-American communities that surrounds UT Arlington’s campus, and enhances overall growth and development efforts.

Membership

We invite you to join the UT Arlington African-American Alumni Chapter to take the time to reacquaint yourself with UT Arlington. To become a member of the chapter, you will need to be a current member of the Alumni Association. Click HERE to join the Association. If you are already a current member, you may join the African-American Chapter by clicking the "Join" link on the left.

Events

The African-American Alumni Banquet was held Saturday, March 9, 2013 in the E.H. Hereford University Center.

Pictured below are photos from past banquets. The event raises money for the chapter's endowed scholarship awarded to students each year.
