Fort Worth Alumni Chapter board members have taken an active role in the University's quest to attain Tier One status. A series of meetings have been held with local business leaders to bring awareness and support to the initiative. We'll keep you posted on the results.
Canstruction – Fort Worth Chapter members participated in Canstruction. This event, geared toward firms in the building trades, provides much needed supplies to the Tarrant Area Food Bank each year. Our members had a great time building a bowling pin and a giant ‘X’ to symbolize ‘Xing’ out Hunger.
College Savvy - The UT Arlington Fort Worth Center and the Fort Worth Alumni Chapter hosted students from J.P. Elder Middle School’s Afterschool Center on Education. A program called “College Savvy” is designed to find ways to make college seem not only possible but, a promising next step for students at this crucial time in their lives. Read More…
The Fort Worth Chapter participated in the CANstruction Competition at Northeast Mall in October 2011. All canned goods were donated to charity. Students from J.P. Elder Middle School touring the Fort Worth Center as part of the College Savvy program.
