Visit Campus as an Alumni

Graduation should not mean the end of a Maverick's days on campus. There are plenty of reasons to visit UT Arlington post-graduation, especially if you have not visited recently! Our campus has many new facilities to view, events to attend, and additional incentives to members of the Alumni Association.

Places

UT Arlington has grown significantly in the past several years. There are plenty of places to sight-see or grab a bite to eat!

The College Park Center

The College Park Center is a new facility that hosts sporting events, concerts, and various events throughout the year. To view the calendar, click here.




The College Park District

The College Park District provides housing in upscale apartments and dormitories above a strip of restaurants. The College Park District offers various dining options, right on campus! The area is open to the public, so come grab a bite to eat! To learn more about the restaurants, click here.





The Dan Dipert University Welcome Center

The Dan Dipert University Welcome Center offers tours for incoming students and the public. If you haven't been to campus recently, the Center's tours are a great tool to learn more about your campus! Click here for more information and to schedule a tour!




The Green at College Park

The scenic Green is a new addition to the UT Arlington community, and hosts various events throughout the year. The location is available for reservation. Click here for more information or to reserve the space.
 



The Planetarium

The Planetarium hosts light shows and movies throughout the year. The facility is great for educational purposes, but they also host events such as their Pink Floyd light show. The Engineering Research Building

The Engineering Research Building is a new state-of-the-art facility that is evolving the UT Arlington College of Engineering, and is helping UT Arlington make a name for itself as a premier research institution. The large building is beautiful and welcomes you to explore!




The University Club

The University Club is open to faculty, staff, and Members of the Alumni Association. The restaurant boasts scenic views with a beautifully decorated outdoor dining area, and the indoor portion of the restaurant displays works of blown art from the art department's program. Events

Come back to campus to take part in campus traditions, catch a sporting event, watch your favorite band live, and attend any other events campus has to offer!

Bed Races

The Bed Races are hosted annually and are a UT Arlington Campus tradition. Team members dress in themed attire as they compete to push their bed across the field first. To view the EXCEL event calendar, click here.
 



Oozeball

Oozeball is a campus tradition of mud volleyball. Teams compete in a volleyball tournament, but often end up enjoying rolling in the mud, too. To read more about UT Arlington traditions, click here.





Homecoming

Homecoming happens annually, and invites the campus to participate in various events throughout the week. Join us for tailgating, parades, celebrations, and a game of basketball at the College Park Center! Click here for pictures from last year and for updates on Homecoming 2013.





Commencement
Attend commencement to see friends and loved ones receive their degrees! Attend the graduation celebration to celebrate alongside friends and enjoy live entertainment. Click here for more information and to purchase tickets.




The Maverick Speaker Series

In 2012-2013, the Maverick Speakers Series continued to delight and enthrall the UT Arlington community and beyond. More than 14,000 attended our much-lauded fifth season, which included noted journalists Frank Deford and Cokie Roberts, Saturday Night Live funnyman Seth Meyers, astronaut Mark Kelly, and TV personality and animal conservationist Jeff Corwin. And in an unprecedented special edition of the Maverick Speakers Series, the season closed with stunning performances by singer Aaron Neville and his special guest, jazz legend Ellis Marsalis. Concerts

See your favorite band in concert at the College Park Center! Last year UT Arlington hosted concerts for well-known artists such as Drake and Passion Pit! World Class Glass

Distinguished Alumni Gala
Gala is an annual event hosted by the Alumni Association that honors alumni with great accomplishments. This formal event is open to Alumni to buy tickets sponsorships.

Maverick Activities Center
The MAC is a premier fitness club located on campus. As a Member of the Alumni Association, you will receive membership discounts that make the MAC one of the cheapest places in the area to work out! ($375/year, $190/6 months, $95/3 months, or $35/month) The facility is well-kept and offers state of the art fitness equipment.

The Library
Show your Alumni Association Membership card to receive a free library card, which allows you to check out up to five books for three weeks.
