UT Arlington's 1895 Society is a group of the University's most generous donors who support research breakthroughs, academic innovation, and student success. We want to thank our 1895 Society members for their many contributions to UT Arlington and say a fond farewell to retiring UT Arlington President James D. Spaniolo. To make sure we say “thank you” in a truly unique and heartfelt way, we are creating a special video to be shown at a private donor event in early March.

You can be a part of this historic event! Join the first-ever UT Arlington Virtual Choir.

Through the magic of a website set up just for this project, we’ll be able to capture a video of your voice and face, which will later be merged with hundreds of others and shown on a big screen at the event. Don't worry about your own vocal talent; all voices will be blended together for a big choir sound. Your participation is much more important than perfect pitch.

Follow these four simple steps:

1. Set up your computer. It's easy: You just need internet access, a webcam, and a microphone. Full details are on the website. Just follow the link below.
2. Practice as much or as little as you want. Don’t worry, you can take as much time as you need to learn your part and rehearse.
3. Record yourself. Follow the step-by-step video instructions on the screen.
4. Submit your recording online!

Here's a little more info about the process:  Each person will be singing along to the Beatles' tune "Get By With a Little Help from My Friends" but the lyrics are customized for our occasion.  After you enter enter your first/last name and email address, click next and follow the instructions.  The lyrics will scroll across the bottom of the screen as a virtual choir director leads us through the tune.
