Beth McHenry was such a great ambassador for our school. She was one of the "Constants" that bridged classes and groups, creating that sense of community we became accustomed to and brought us back. Word is that she is headed for greener pastures back east. Many are the holes in the fabric of UTA and its community since so many positions and services were recently torpedoed. There is no question that our increasingly fragmented community is the poorer for these losses. Fair winds and following seas!
It has been a busy end of the 2016 school year. The Board has set up tentative plans for four events this next year. We will be joining with the university on August 26 for UTA day at the Rangers' Ballpark. November will have us starting a new tradition of calling the Alumni together for an annual meeting in conjunction with Homecoming. Early 2017 will see small and not-so-small gatherings for an event in FW and the second annual Planetarium Event. Please keep in touch. Feel the desire to help us keep our traditions alive? Join us.
