UTA Night with the Rangers -2018 Edition

September 18 was another beautiful night for watching the Rangers.  50 amazing friends gathered to cheer the Rangers on.  We didn't win, but it was a great night of the Maverick faithful renewing friendships and swapping stories.  For those who didn't make it, the Board has heard our members, it's now a tradition.  See y'all next year.  Watch your email. 

Zeb Strong and the UTA Faithful

Zeb Strong left behind a larger-than-life legend and a truly amazing life's work.  Likely half of the hundreds of people attending his Wake and Homegoing Service at Concord Church stood to be recognized as members of the Maverick Faithful who were touched by this man's life and his works.  It would be interesting to have someone videotape those remembrances at the next AA Scholarship Banquet.  There is also a petition making the rounds to rename a street around UTA in his honor.  Not a bad idea to help remember a man who set the standard for helping students, gradua

The UTA Community Lost a Great Advocate and a Great Man Today

We received word that Zeb Strong, Director of Outreach Initiatives for UTA, passed away today.  The UTA community has been blessed to have been the recipient of this man's efforts.  He was a powerful force for good at UTA ... and it was an honor to have had the opportunity to watch the ongoing ripples of his effects on the school, our students and our community.
